
This is a drill guide that I built at work. I worked on it in spurts over 4 months. I designed the aluminum parts in a Rhino 4, ( a CAD program) cut it out on my CNC Router and cast them at home. The machining and press-fit parts were done by a friend. I turned the shaft in the carriage on a metal lathe at work.

Wow, that’s really cool. I remember you telling me about this. What are you using it for?
It’s used to make 18″ long holes in the ends of vigas which are tapped and then a fiberglass threaded rod is inserted to screw on a new replacement end.
